Systems layer seminar - mFRR EAM: the new way of balancing the Nordic Power System

The first part of the webinar will present an overview of the change in balancing philosophy that came with the go-live of the new energy activation market (EAM) for mFRR. The second part will reflect on how the change has affected the power system and the market.

Speaker: Ellika Wik, Power System Specialist, Svenska kraftnät

Ellika Wik received her M.Sc. in Energy Systems Engineering from Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden, in 2017. She is currently with Svenska Kraftnät (Swedish National Grid), department of Power Systems Development. She focuses as a power system specialist focusing on frequency stability in power systems, including dimensioning of reserves and development of technical requirements for reserves.
