Renewed funding for SEBSC
We are happy to announce that the Swedish Electricity Storage and Balancing Centre will continue as a competence research centre. The Swedish Energy Agency has decided to prolong the funding for five more years.

SESBC Summer School 2026
The Swedish Electricity Storage and Balancing Centre (SESBC) is pleased to invite you to the third Centre Summer School, which will be held at Chalmers University of Technology on 19–21 August 2026. Ageing prediction models that generalise well across different types of second-life batteries
Benedick Allan Strugnell-Lees, PhD student at Chalmers University of Technology, is developing battery ageing prediction models optimised for second-life usage within the SESBC project “Optimal usage and properties of battery storage units using 2nd life batteries”.
